The Artists
Originally from La Crosse Wisconsin, Shane Mauss (pronounced MOSS like on the north facing side of a tree) moved to Boston in 2004 (at the supple young age of 23) to pursue his childhood dream of being a stand up comedian, having no idea how quickly things would happen for him.
He caught his big break when he was awarded Best Stand Up Comic at the prestigious HBO 2007 US Comedy Arts Festival. From that he got a (hotshot Hollywood) agent and manager and was seen by the bookers of Conan O’Brien. Since then, he has had three appearances on Conan O’Brien, and been on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham”, and Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders”. Also, he has had two appearances on BBC’s “The World Stands Up”, is a regular on The Bob and Tom radio and TV show, was in The Great American Comedy Festival, and is regularly in The Boston International Comedy Festival. In 2009, Shane was in The Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival in Miami, The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, Ireland, and The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. He will also be recording a Comedy Central Presents (1/2 hour special) in November, and has an upcoming appearance on the new Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
For 2010, Shane has already been invited to The Melbourne, Australia International Comedy Festival and The Sydney, Australia Comedy Festival. Comedy Central Presents: Shane Mauss will air and he will be releasing a CD with Comedy Central Records. Shane Mauss is widely considered one of the best young headliners in the business and has lots more to come!!!
Brian Moote has been a professional comedian for 5 years and recently moved from Boston to Los Angeles, to pursue stardom... or at least get a better tan than he would in New England this winter. He was recently featured on Comedy Central's "Open Mic Fight," and was part of the Real Men of Comedy Tour with Joe Rogan (From Fear Factor). Both shows will be a lot of fun as Brian discusses everything from living in Boston, to his attempts at to serisouly injuring his little brothers as a child growing up on his parent's farm. This will be a great night, so come down and help this SWHS graduate live his dream... of proving to his parents that stand up can be a career.
