The Whidbey Island Theatre Festival.
Whidbey Island Theatre Festival is a celebration of theatre that brings together artists and enthusiasts for a vast array of entertaining and educational experiences.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts' annual theatre festival provides our community and visitors with engaging summer classes, thought-provoking theatrical experiences, and great entertainment for all to enjoy.



The WITF Summer Training Program

Built on years of great summer theatre classes and productions, WITF offers conservatory-style theatre education for youth and adults, through readings, workshops, productions and special events. Our core faculty includes performers, designers, teachers,and playwrights all working together with top academic credentials as well as professional experience.Theatre is a great way to encourage self expression and creativity for people of all ages. We invite you to join us on this fabulous and fun journey toward growing great theatre.

WICA on Tour Youth + Adult Travel

Brush Up on Your Shakespeare: An Ashland Adventure with Deana Duncan

This year’s tour includes:

Theatre Productions including American Night (by Culture Clash), The Merchant of Venice, Throne of Blood (an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s1957 film), and Hamlet

Spring Talks and Park Talks; Festival Noon events; Prologue discussions; and Mask, Movement, Performance, and Stage Combat Classes with the Southern Oregon University theatre department.

Round-trip ticket on the Whidbey Sea-Tac Shuttle (departing/arriving WICA) - Adults and families may arrange personal transportation.

(4) Days / (3) Nights stay in the Southern Oregon University dormitories - Adults and families may book accomodations off-campus
